Fortum Finnsurya And Juwi India First To Commission 10 Mw Solar Power Plant Under Jnnsm Phase Ii Batch I
Fortum FinnSurya Energy Pvt. Ltd., an SPV of Finland-based utility Fortum, and juwi India Renewable Energies Pvt. Ltd., a leading turnkey EPC company in India, announced the commissioning of the first Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant under the currently ongoing JNNSM Phase II, Batch-I under the Viability Gap Funding

mechanism of Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on 31st December 2014 at Kapeli, Madhya Pradesh, India. The 10 MW plant was delivered by juwi India under a turnkey contract from Fortum India Pvt Ltd.

In a joint statement, Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Managing Director, Fortum India Pvt. Limited and Mr. Rajeshwara Bhat, Managing Director, juwi India said, "India has become one of the most promising solar markets in the world today. This plant stands testimony to Fortum and juwi's continuous commitment to create new benchmarks in delivering solar electricity to the Indian grid at a competitive price, by leveraging Fortum's global project development and sourcing strength and juwi's strong engineering and execution capabilities."
